AL-KO AKS 3004 stabilizer coupling
Also called anti-sway coupling

The AL-KO AKS 30004 stabilizer coupling clamps around the ball using friction material, making it much harder and stiffer for the coupling to rotate in the horizontal plane than usual. This reduces the sway behavior of a trailer or caravan significantly. The AKS 3004 is one of the most commonly used couplings in the caravan industry and is currently almost standard on caravans with an AL-KO chassis. The AKS 3004 has proven its safety over many kilometers and is long-lasting.

AL-KO AKS 3004:
- Maximum ball pressure: 150kg
- Suitable for mounting on a drawbar around 50mm (with included spacers also around 45 and 35)
- Suitable for trailers with a total weight of up to 3000kg
- Bolt holes M12
- 4 friction elements against sway and tilt movements
- Features a useful safety indicator to indicate if the coupling is correctly attached to the ball
- Complies with ISO 11555-1 (approval for 100 km/h possible)

Lifespan: The friction elements last up to 50,000 km and can then be easily replaced.

De algemene regel is maximaal 50.000 km.Vaak zijn ze eerder versleten, afhankelijk van uw koppeling zit er een slijtage-indicator op, bij rood of veel rood is het verstandig uw frictiecups te vervangen.

Ook kunnen de frictiecups vuil worden, dit kunt u zelf schoon maken door het vuil eraf te vegen (met fijn schuurpapier eventueel), let op dat u de cups niet verder beschadigd. Zijn de cups niet meer te herstellen is het verstandig om ze te vervangen, om de stabiliserende werking te waarborgen.
