With punch letters you can indicate the following on the type plate:
- Manufacturer's name (Brand)
- EC Type approval number
- Type
- Chassis number (Vehicle identification number)
- Permissible total weight
- Permissible total weight
- Axle load different axles
- Max total axle load
- Year of manufacture

Trailer of 750kg or lighter and made after 29-10-2012? Then a type plate with the following information is mandatory:
- Manufacturer's name
- Type approval number with vehicle identification number
- Technically maximum permissible total mass and axle loads

Such a type plate with the above information is also always mandatory on trailers heavier than 750kg.
