Brake pads, also known as brake shoes, are pressed against the inside of the brake drums during braking, slowing down the wheel. The brake pads are held in position by springs. Firstly, the tension springs, which sit horizontally between the brake pads. These ensure that the brake pads return to a neutral position after braking. In addition, there is a retaining spring vertically through the wheel brake, which ensures that the brake pad remains attached to the anchor plate. This brake pad set contains all the wear parts of a wheel brake.

When replacing your trailer brake pads, it is best to look at the numbers on your current brake pad. Once you have found these, you can easily replace your brake pad with the product bearing the same numbers. If you are unsure or can no longer read the numbers, you can look at the brand, dimensions, and mounting holes of the brake pads.
