Technical data
The Knott KFG hitch brakes are available in various versions. All necessary information can be found on the type plate on the hitch brake.
It is also possible to view all features separately. This is quite simple.
The number behind KFG, 35, represents the weight class, this is the basis for selecting a hitch brake.
KFG35 = 3000kg to 3500kg
Next, one looks at the coupling. This can be a standard ball coupling or a din-eye. A din-eye is mainly common behind trucks.
The last element is the jockey wheel bracket, this is easy to see on the hitch brake. If the jockey wheel is mounted directly on the hitch brake, instead of on the drawbar, then there is a jockey wheel bracket. This has the advantage that the jockey wheel comes to sit in the middle of the drawbar and therefore also in the middle of the trailer. The two product photos show hitch brakes without a jockey wheel bracket.
These hitch brakes have different hole patterns. These are indicated as follows: Front Center-to-Center width / Center-to-Center Length / Back Center-to-Center width. All KFG35 hitch brakes have double slotted holes in the back.
All hitch brakes come complete with a B50X coupling.
