Technical data

The Knott KFG overrun brakes are available in different versions. All necessary information can be found on the type plate on the overrun brake.
It is also possible to view all characteristics individually. This is quite simple.

The number behind KFG, 30, indicates the weight class, which is the basis for selecting an overrun brake.
KFG30 = 1600 kg to 3000 kg

Then one looks at the coupling. This can be a standard ball coupling or a DIN eye. A DIN eye is mainly common behind trucks. 

The last element is the jockey wheel bracket, which can easily be seen on the overrun brake. If the jockey wheel is mounted directly on the overrun brake, instead of on the drawbar, then there is a jockey wheel bracket. This has the advantage that the jockey wheel is positioned in the middle of the drawbar, and therefore also in the middle of the trailer. The two product photos show overrun brakes without a jockey wheel bracket.

These overrun brakes have different hole patterns. These are designated as follows: Front hole centre width / Hole centre length / Rear hole centre width. All KFG35 overrun brakes have double slop holes at the rear.

All overrun brakes come complete with a B50X coupling.
