Purpose:
Disruption of the circuit between the battery and the starter motor, as well as all other power users. Optimal security against theft and fire hazard for parked cars.

Regulations:
A regulation from the O.N.S. (Oberste Nationale Sportkommision for motorsport in Germany.) states that all cars participating in car races or hill climbs must be equipped with a clearly visible main power switch. Closed cars must be equipped with two switches, one within reach of the driver, and one easily accessible from the outside of the car, for example inside the car under the dashboard and on the outside, protected against dust and splash water, under the hood, so that the switching lever protrudes above the bodywork. The installation of a main power switch is also highly recommended for rally cars. The main power switch must also interrupt the power with the engine running and disable any built-in electric fuel pump.

Installation:
For the correct power interruption, the cable +30/51 from the alternator or regulator to the battery must run. If there is a different circuit, you must make the connection according to the attached diagram. Keep the connection cable as short as possible, use the cross-section of the starter cable present in the car.
