Why a battery monitor?

Batteries that are regularly discharged too deeply have a shorter lifespan. Deep discharge causes sulphation, which eventually leads to premature battery failure. Start problems can occur with a starter battery if the voltage level is too low. This battery monitor is the perfect solution to prevent these problems. The battery monitor automatically cuts off the power supply to the consumer(s) before the battery reaches a too low voltage level. The power supply is automatically restored when the battery reaches a certain voltage level again.

Cut-off voltage

The cut-off voltage is adjustable so that it can be determined when the power supply needs to be cut off.

Pre-warning

The battery monitor has a 'pre-warning' output. This can be used to generate a buzzer or optical signal (light). This way, a warning is received when the battery is at risk of reaching a low voltage level.

The SBP series also has the ability to be switched on/off via a remote switch, the ignition switch or D+ of the alternator.
