AL-KO Mammut TS422 Tandem Axle Mover System

For those who want to park their caravan or trailer in the right spot, you need excellent driving skills, strong helpers, or of course the AL-KO Mammut manoeuvring system. With the Mammut system, you can park your caravan or trailer with centimeter precision.

Type TS422

You choose the TS422 type under the following conditions:
- Max weight caravan: 3000kg
- The height of "a" (see drawing) is between 125 and 184 mm. The height of "b" is greater than or equal to 125mm.
- The TS422 model can be used whether or not an 'M' is stamped for your axle.
- The TS422 model can be used whether or not mounting holes are present behind your axle.

Remote control with joystick

AL-KO Mammut is the only manoeuvring system with joystick control. Unlike a push-button system, with the joystick system, you can fully and smoothly steer, accelerate, and decelerate. With the user-friendly soft start/soft stop system, you can move your caravan or trailer to your desired spot without jerks or interruptions. Aim the remote control at your caravan or trailer, and then use your thumb to determine the direction and speed. When you release the joystick, the caravan immediately comes to a stop and the wheels are locked. Especially useful on slopes and uneven terrain. Additionally, you can steer and turn your caravan or trailer a full 360° degrees, including spinning on its own axis.

Optimal security

To prevent accidental activation of the manoeuvring system or the remote control, the system must be released before use. For this, you move your remote control along a sensor at your coupling. Afterwards, the system can be used until it is turned off. After switching off, the system must always be released again.

Powerful, stable, and reliable

The powerful Mammut drive units ensure a smooth, stable, and reliable drive for your caravan wheels. Each drive unit has two electric motors for driving the caravan wheels. One motor is responsible for driving the wheels using the drive rollers. The other motor is responsible for pressing the drive rollers against the tires. The electronic control of the pressure force of the drive rollers ensures optimal grip on the tires. The powerful operation not only moves your caravan or trailer on flat ground but also on inclines up to 28%. Ideal for mountainous terrain or hilly campgrounds. Additionally, the drive is powerful enough to overcome obstacles up to 4 cm high (values for a single-axle caravan). Rocks or curbs are no problem. Climbing capacity: 15% at 3000kg.

Solid housing

Manoeuvring system drive units endure a lot, think of splash water, snow, ice, dust, or flying stones. Thanks to the solid aluminum housing, your Mammut system is well protected against external influences (protection class IP65). Despite the solid aluminum housing, the complete system, including the crossbar for top mounting, weighs only 84kg for tandem axles.

Maximum ground clearance

An AL-KO chassis with a stamped 'M' in the chassis beams (from model year 2010) is standard equipped with mounting holes for the Mammut system. This ensures that the necessary crossbar for stability does not take up space under the chassis. This means that your ground clearance remains completely intact. This can prevent damage to your manoeuvring system.
