Brake linings, also known as brake shoes, are pressed against the inside of the brake drums during braking, slowing the wheel down. The brake linings are held in position by springs. First, the tension springs, which sit horizontally between the brake linings. These ensure that the brake linings return to the neutral position after braking. In addition, there is a retaining spring vertically through the wheel brake, which ensures that the brake lining remains attached to the anchor plate. This brake lining set contains all wear parts of a wheel brake.

When replacing your trailer's brake linings, it is best to look at the numbers on your current brake lining. Once you have found these, you can easily replace your brake lining with the product bearing the same numbers. If you are unsure or can no longer read the numbers, you can look at the brand, dimensions, and mounting holes of the brake linings. Replacing Hub Nut

When working on the trailer's braking system and the hub nut is removed, it is advisable to also replace the hub nut. The current hub nuts are steel castle nuts, designed for one-time use. If the hub nut is reused multiple times, it will not secure properly, necessitating a new nut. A new nut will also tighten more firmly, as it needs to provide the required locking.
