Perlus H 46 is a very high-quality Multigrade 'Extreme Pressure' Hydraulic Oil, based on specially selected solvent-refined base oils. Special additives have been added to obtain the following properties:

- High and stable Viscosity Index
- Excellent anti-wear properties
- Very good anti-rust and anti-corrosion operation
- Very good oxidation stability
- Very good demulsifying ability
- Very good anti-foam and air release capability
- Neutral towards plastic seals
- Very low pour point

Application:
Perlus H 46 is excellent for all heavily loaded hydraulic systems of earthmoving machinery and fixed installations that need to operate under high pressures and a wide temperature range.

Choosing between H32 or H46 hydraulic oil

When choosing a hydraulic oil, viscosity (fluidity/thickness of the oil) is important. At Masta Trailers, we offer hydraulic oils in 2 viscosities, H32 and H46. Where H32 is a thinner oil and H46 is a slightly thicker oil.

Viscosity is strongly temperature-dependent. Once the oil warms up, the viscosity decreases (thinner oil). This has disadvantages such as deterioration of the lubricating film and an increase in leakage. An oil that is too thick increases the risk of the very undesirable cavitation of the pump and can significantly slow down the system. The higher the viscosity of the hydraulic oil, the more suitable it is for large temperature fluctuations.

For trailers, you are almost always safe with H32 and H46 oil. For a heavier tipper or heavy load, H46 is preferred and for a lighter tipper or load, you can also opt for H32. But both H32 and H46 are suitable for both applications.
