7-Pin Aluminium 12V Plug
Previously, all trailers were equipped with a 7-pin plug. This is the standard plug that is inserted into the socket of the car for the transmission of electricity for trailer lighting, among other things. Nowadays, the 13-pin plug is becoming more common. New cars are equipped with a 13-pin socket as standard, requiring a 13-pin plug. The 7-pin plug is still widely used and is still considered the standard plug.

The 7-pin plug system 12V according to ISO 1724 / ISO 3732 is the most commonly used system for electrical connections between the towing vehicle and trailer with a 12V on-board network. The system is mainly used for applications with average requirements. It consists of a standard connector, type N, according to ISO 1724, and an additional connector, type S, according to ISO 3732. The additional system differs from the standard system by the white housing, the contact inserts, and the interchangeable contact arrangement.
