The many special features and protections, including double (!) temperature protection and reverse polarity protection, result in a very advanced and extremely safe charging process. This protects the charger, battery, and charging process continuously. These features make the charger suitable for many application areas at both a professional and recreational level.

The LBC series is suitable for permanent connection and installation. The charger includes a special function, the jogging phase, for batteries that are not used for a long time. Furthermore, the charger can remain connected/turned on during battery loading, engine starting, or when multiple power sources are present. Like the previous series, the LBC 500 series also does not use a fan, so the whisper-quiet operation is maintained! The LED indicators for reading the charger status are readable from a wide angle. Additionally, there is a button on the front of the charger to easily select the correct battery type setting. This allows the LBC 500 to be used for many battery types, including: starter, semi-traction, full-traction, gel, AGM, spiral, carbon fiber, and calcium. The LBC 500 comes with a fixed charging cable 1m in length. The ends are equipped with battery clamps, and cable eyes are also included.

The LBC 500 can also be used as a power supply. The charger has a special power supply mode to connect consumers directly. This creates a stable output voltage and allows equipment to operate directly without the need for a battery.
